2016 Royal Rumble Event
Sunday, September 25th
The event will air LIVE on Twitch TV at twitch.tv/dwfcaw
The Royal Rumble Pre-Show will post on YouTube Saturday, September 24th. No matches have been announced yet but reports are circulating that DWF SmackDown's Women's Division (Keri Killjoy, Xandra Ford, Mandi Most, Sara Dunn & Question-Air) are planning to occupy DWF at the start of the pre-show.
If this situation gets worked out, hopefully the event can continue.
Roijinn Anko will re-debut his talk show "The Hot Ticket" with co-host E. Martini, as they will interview Big Mac & Whopper of SuperSized.
Scheduled to appear on the pre-show is Christian Paul, John Phy & DWF RAW General Manager, Danaerys Wentworth.

DWF Heavyweight Championship:
Keller (c) vs Tommy Skywalker
This is a match that is 4 years in the making.
August 12, 2012 was the date. WrestleMania Four in Atlanta, GA. After winning the biggest Royal Rumble in DWF History, Tommy Skywalker went from mid-carder barely on the weekly shows to Main Eventer the moment he eliminated Tank to win the Rumble Match. He entered the Georgia Dome that evening to face off with the Next Gen Game, Keller, who was in the infancy of what would become the longest DWF title reign in history (On the night of the Rumble, it will be 1,687 days). That night, Keller took advantage of Tommy's lack of big fight experience and beat him in the middle of the ring.
In the four years since that moment, Keller has defended his title successfully, defending it in various house shows and other leagues, making his second run as champion the most important in DWF history. Meanwhile, Tommy won the following Royal Rumble match in 2014, making him the only two time DWF Royal Rumble winner.
When DWF returned on July 26 2016, the fans immediately demanded to know when Tommy's getting his shot. At Royal Rumble in Chicago, Skywalker gets his opportunity to redeem himself for his previous failure.
To top that off, this is the most important match for the brand extension, bigger than the Rumble. Keller and Tommy were the top picks of RAW and SmackDown, respectively. The winner will bring the title to their brand. As if this match wasn't big enough

30-Man Royal Rumble:
Known Participants: H. Bane, Bully Nate, TGO, NXT Superstar to be announced at TakeOver:Arrival
The DWF Royal Rumble has taken place 5 times, with Phy, Sir Magic, The Rebel & Tommy Skywalker (x2) winning the event.
It currently only has a 50% success rate in the winner becoming a new champion, with John Phy and Tommy Skywalker failing at their shots. (Tommy's 2nd shot will be the night of the Rumble)
That being said, the DWF Royal Rumble is still a gigantic event, and can take any name in the DWF and make them instant main eventers. And the winner this year, will give their brand (RAW or SmackDown) the distinct honor of becoming the main event of DWF WrestleMania V in Hawaii
Starting the night of TakeOver:Arrival, the DWF will start to announce each participant via YouTube announcement videos.

Inter-Promotional Match:
The Great One vs. H. Bane
This one is all about ego.
But can you blame TGO for being what he's become today? Ever since 2007, TGO has been a Tour de Force in CAW Wrestling, winning multiple Championships in multiple leagues (Extreme CAW Wrestling, Full Throttle Wrestling, CAW Champions League to name a few). Hell, he even has a CAW Wrestler going around as TRS in other leagues, and when you have a tribute band touring with your greatest hits, you must be good at what you do.
So how bruised was TGO's ego when H. Bane was selected before him? TGO rationalized in his mind why Keller and Tommy Skywalker was taken before him. Both brands needed to position themselves to have the DWF Championship on their show. TGO has an issue with a rookie being picked before him.
H. Bane is still, in many ways, the face of DWF NXT. He took on all comers and became an instant favorite in the hearts and minds of all of those in the DWF Universe. A former DWF NXT Champion, he had to forfeit that championship the moment he was drafted 3rd Overall to DWF RAW. And although it was a shocker he was drafted so soon, there's nobody in the DWF Universe that doesn't think H. Bane deserved it.
Except for TGO...
The Great One was drafted to SmackDown, 4th Overall, and it's no secret that TGO sees this as a demotion. Maybe, with his son Hollister Cross now on DWF NXT, TGO is starting to look at his CAW Wrestling mortality. Who knows, other than TGO? He's even starting his own Indy CAW Fed in Canada, where he trained his son and NXT Stars Jay Currency & Wilhelmina. Not to mention he trained RAW Superstar Dave Aziz back in 2004. So he has worked with future DWF Superstars. Maybe he's realizing that time is running out on his CAW Wrestling career, and facing H. Bane in a high profile match will serve as an indicator for him...
Or TGO is still the same egomaniacal jackass that he's always been, and wants to beat H. Bane to prove a point to the DWF Universe.

DWF Women's Championship Match: (RAW)
Athena (c) vs Lena Chilingerian
This is a rivalry that will never end, especially since both females were drafted to RAW. Who can forget the moment Athena debuted in DWF, attacking Lena Chilingerian and Xandra Ford at DWF Backlash 2011. Athena would break Xandra's neck at CAW[N]Spiracy 2011, taking her out for a year and would take the Women's Title from Lena. Athena would lose the title, thanks to Lena, to Keri Killjoy a month later, and then the two would make history in being the first ever Women's Match at DWF WrestleMania Four to not have title implications. A match Athena won, as well.
Unfortunately, for Lena, this has been a one-sided feud. Other than the one night against Keri, Athena has never lost match in her DWF career, eventually winning the title back from Keri after Mania that year. For Lena, this can be considered a must-win. The once invincible DWF Women's Champion has been seen as vulnerable since Athena's arrival. Lena needs to win this one, if we're going to consider her a threat in the Women's division ever again.

DWF Intercontinental Championship: (SmackDown!)
Leonidas Gonzalez (c) vs. Christian Paul
T
his is a match that's more about retribution than the title for Christian Paul. With JT Money retired and running DWF NXT, Yung Mike taking a sabbatical with questions as to whether or not he'll return to DWF, & the unknown status of The Rebel, Christian Paul is the lone surviving member of the Johnson Wrestling Family.
This match with Leonidas was sparked by the fact that Leonidas injured Yung Mike's ribs at WrestleMania Four, to the point where Christian Paul had to intervene. CP was probably the happiest DWF Superstar to get drafted to SmackDown, because he wanted this shot at Leonidas. And if Christian wins, he will become a Two-Time DWF Intercontinental Champion. Can the young and confident CP conquer the King?

DWF Cruiserweight Championship Match:
Kirby Niles (c/RAW) vs. Any 5 DWF competitors at 205lbs or below in a Cruiserweight Open
Kirby Niles was very agitated at the fact that he was not selected as one of the first 20 picks. He thought, being a DWF Original and the current Cruiserweight Champion, he had done enough to merit an early selection. But he fell into the supplemental draft, going to DWF RAW in the process with the belt. Niles was so...miffed... that he went up to DWF Chairman DJ Wentworth and demanded to defend his title in a Cruiserweight Open at the Royal Rumble. DJ obliged, but who will be the 5 challengers for the title?
